Christa Nigh Massage Therapy

Christa Nigh BA, RMT, CDT

Christa graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (Cambridge) in 2011. Since then, she has gained experience treating many different conditions, including tendonitis, headaches/migraines, scar tissue, and general muscle aches and pains.

Christa was eager to continue learning, and in 2012, she completed advanced training with certification in the Dr Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT), offered by the internationally recognized Dr Vodder School.

Completion of the 160-hour intensive training program makes Christa one of the approximately 1000 certified therapist in North America currently certified to practice this specialized technique.

Christa has put this training to good use, successfully treating a wide range of conditions, including: post-fracture/surgery swelling; sprains; pain and swelling associated with arthritis, pregnancy, varicose veins; lymphedema; chronic sinusitis; Bell's Palsy.

Christa takes a whole body and mind approach to treatment, and as a Reiki practitioner, incorporates this into every massage therapy treatment.

Christa is especially enthusiastic about pre- and post-natal massage. Christa uses her skills as a Registered Massage Therapist, and her experience as a mother, to comfort and provide physical relief to new mothers throughout their pregnancy and beyond. She also treats infants and children, and teaches infant massage techniques to interested parents, so that even the youngest among us can enjoy the benefits of massage therapy.

Christa's commitment to the well being of all of her clients is demonstrated by her belief that each person is an individual and therefore each person's stresses, injuries and illnesses need to be assessed and treated on an individual basis. Her professionalism instills confidence in her ability to provide a therapeutic treatment, while her warm and gentle nature ensures that even those who are new to massage therapy feel comfortable.
